Y'know, I had my "permit" before, but I never scheduled a road test, so it expired and I had to take another written test. And I agree with you about being able to drive as a status symbol. I feel like people are looking down on my when I tell them I don't have a car and I don't drive. How long can you keep a permit in canada?
